Audi’s Concept C is the brand’s first clear look at the next phase of its design identity. The all-electric two-seater recalls the spirit of the TT with its compact proportions and clean, minimalist surfacing.

Audi confirmed the Concept C serves as a “tangible preview of the design language for the brand’s future models.” A new behind-the-scenes film documents its creation, from early sketches to final presentation, and shows how Audi’s designers and engineers collaborated during its design.

“By seamlessly blending design, technology, and functionality, the Concept C illustrates the future direction of our models,” said Audi CEO Gernot Döllner.

Built on an electric platform, the Concept C emphasizes lightweight construction, sustainable materials, and digital simplicity. With the TT officially retired, it hints that Audi’s next era of sporty, emotional design will be fully electric.

Top 10 Vehicles Most Likely to Last over 250,000 Miles

Hint: The bigger the better.By Mark VaughnPublished: Oct 07, 2025 4:06 PM EDTbookmarksSave Article

which vehicle will last 250,000 miles

Toyota

  • The research firm iSeeCars.com studied the odometers of 174 million vehicles to see which car, truck, or SUV was most likely to keep running for 250,000 miles.
  • Top result was the Toyota Sequoia, with a 39.1% chance of hitting a quarter million miles of useable vehicle life.
  • Japanese cars topped all categories.

Everyone says they want a car that will last a long time. Even people doing leases say that. If you take care of it, most cars nowadays will go 100,000 or even 150,000 miles before major problems. You just have to follow the manufacturer’s suggested maintenance schedule.

But which cars, trucks, SUVs and hybrids last the longest?

iSeeCars.com has that answer. iSeeCars calls itself “a data-driven car search and research company that helps shoppers find the best car deals by providing key insights and valuable resources.” To come up with its answer about which vehicles last the longest, iSeeCars.com analyzed data for over 174 million cars, trucks, and SUVs. The average odometer reading for each vehicle was calculated at each yearly age, and a proprietary model based on these average mileages was developed to estimate the probability that each vehicle would survive to various mileage thresholds.Toyota

Toyota Sequoia has a 39.1% chance of going 250,000 miles.

The result? All hail the Toyota Sequoia! Survey says:

  • The Toyota Sequoia is the longest-lasting vehicle, with a 39.1% chance of reaching 250,000 miles.
  • Toyota is the longest-lasting car brand and also dominates the vehicle rankings, with 10 models in the top 25.
  • Honda ranks second for the most vehicle rankings, with five models in the top 25.
  • SUVs are the longest-lasting vehicle type, earning 11 of the top 25 positions.
  • Hybrids continue to prove their durability, with five models making the top 25 list—up from just three last year and zero in 2023.

Sequoia leads the pack, earning the No. 1 ranking with a 39.1% predicted chance of reaching a quarter-million miles—more than eight times the industry average of 4.8%, the study said. Breaking it down, there were 11 SUVs, seven sedans, six pickup trucks, and one minivan in the top 25 models.dan howell

The list features vehicles with between a 9.1% and 39.1% predicted chance of reaching 250,000 miles, with the average car having a 4.8% chance of reaching it. Even the lowest-ranked model, Acura’s MDX, is still nearly twice as likely to see that odometer reading.

“The 2025 iSeeCars Longest-Lasting Cars list features vehicles with between a 9.1% and 39.1% predicted chance of reaching 250,000 miles,” said iSeeCars executive analyst Karl Brauer. “With the average car having a 4.8% chance of reaching 250,000 miles, even the lowest-ranked model, Acura’s MDX, is still nearly twice as likely to see that odometer reading. The top-ranked Toyota Sequoia is truly impressive. With a 39.1% predicted chance to reach 250,000 miles, the Sequoia is more than eight times as likely to hit that milestone as the average vehicle.”

Maybe because they’re driven in sedate suburban paradises and rarely see any abuse, it’s large SUVs that make up nearly half of the spots in the rankings. Of those, Toyota leads with four SUVs, followed by Lexus with three, Honda with two, and both Acura and Chevrolet with one each. Seven sedans from four brands (Toyota, Lexus, Honda, and Acura) make it the second most prominent body style.Stellantis

Ram 3500 leads pickup trucks.

Pickup trucks also feature prominently on the list, iSeeCars says, with four full-size, light-duty models and two midsize models in the top 25.

“While SUVs are the most common vehicle type on the 2025 iSeeCars Longest-Lasting rankings, the frequency of sedans, trucks, and even one minivan suggests there’s a long-lasting model to meet every consumer need,” said Brauer. “Today’s high cost for both new and used cars can be discouraging for many buyers, but if you choose wisely you can get a lot of years and miles out of your next vehicle purchase.”

“Toyota, Honda, and their luxury divisions Lexus and Acura have earned a reputation for producing high-quality vehicles.”

If you’re trying to decide which brand of car to buy for long-lasting operation, the top brands were Toyota, Lexus, Honda, and Acura, proving the old adage that Japanese cars are “better.”

“Toyota, Honda, and their luxury divisions Lexus and Acura have earned a reputation for producing high-quality vehicles,” said Brauer. “That reputation is backed up by iSeeCars’ analysis of vehicle lifespans and which brands’ vehicles are predicted to last the longest.”

But in pickup trucks, the longest-lasting, with a 39.7% chance of hitting a quarter million miles above that of the winning Sequoia, was the Ram 3500, (heavy-duty trucks were not picked for the top 25), followed by the Toyota Tundra and Ford F-450 Super-Duty. The Ram and the Ford being heavier-duty trucks suggests that they’re bought by fleets that perform regular maintenance, though the study doesn’t speculate as to why each vehicle made the list.

Among passenger cars, it’s once again an all-Japan top 10, lead by the Lexus IS with a 27.5% chance of getting to 250,000 miles., followed by the Toyota Avalon and Toyota Prius.

iSeeCars only listed seven hybrids, but that category, too, was all-Japanese, lead by the Toyota Highlander Hybrid with a 31% chance of getting to a quarter-million miles.

“This is the first year we’ve broken hybrids out as their own category for iSeeCars’ Longest-Lasting Cars rankings. While only seven models have sufficient data to predict their chance of hitting 250,000 miles, we expect the list of longest-lasting hybrids to expand rapidly in the next five years,” said Brauer.

Not everyone is looking for a long-term relationship, but if you are, study the iSeeCars results closely and choose wisely.

“The cost of today’s vehicles makes their lifespan more important than ever for value-oriented shoppers,” said Brauer. “While many consumers aren’t interested in a long-term relationship with their car, if you can commit to one model and buy one with a long lifespan, you can save tens of thousands of dollars on your personal transportation costs.”
