New bodycam, 911 calls released in Cocoa Beach house party arrests involving principal, teacher
COCOA BEACH, Fla. —
Newly released 911 call and body camera video provide a clearer picture of what happened outside a Cocoa Beach house party that ended with a former principal and a teacher facing charges.
WESH 2 previously reported that earlier this month, the State Attorney’s Office officially filed charges against the educators.

Former Roosevelt Elementary principal Elizabeth Hill-Brodigan is charged with child neglect, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and hosting an open house party.
Current Brevard County teacher Karly Anderson is charged with disorderly conduct and disorderly intoxication.
The party in question took place at the former principal’s home in January. According to investigators, more than 100 minors attended, and some were involved in underage drinking.

The situation prompted several 911 calls.
“I’m in this group chat with a bunch of kids at this party, and they’re all sending videos of everybody drinking,” one caller said. “There’s like fights going on, and I know that everybody drove there, so I just wanted to let you guys know.”
“There’s like this big party down the street — they’re like pulling in and out of the driveways,” another caller said. “They like called me a racial slur, and I’m afraid something bad’s gonna happen.”
According to an arrest report, Hill-Brodigan was called home to shut down the party.
A few hours later, police returned to the house. An officer said he was checking to make sure everyone had left when he saw a 17-year-old shaking and vomiting on the front lawn.
Three minutes into body camera video worn by a Cocoa Beach police officer, Hill-Brodigan is seen walking out of her house and into the driveway as the teen is on the lawn. About 25 seconds later, she walks back inside.

The Brevard County Fire Rescue Department responded. After checking the teen’s vitals, the officer escorted him to a patrol car. That’s when Anderson approached the officer, asking why the teenager was being placed in the vehicle.
She used several profanities while expressing concern.
The two exchanged words before the officer told her to leave.
“You’re here with your boss, having a party with 200 kids who are drinking,” the officer said in the video. “Get out of my face. Now.”
Anderson was previously arrested on child neglect charges, but the State Attorney’s Office ultimately filed misdemeanor charges for disorderly conduct and disorderly intoxication.
“The State Attorney cleared Karly Anderson of the felony charges. Department of Children and Family Services cleared Ms. Anderson as well. She’s a certified teacher, and as of today, she’s been placed by the district back into a classroom,” a spokesperson for the Brevard County School District said regarding Anderson’s employment.
Hill-Brodigan was suspended without pay. We reached out to her attorney for comment, but have not heard back.
Anderson’s attorney said he plans to contest the charges.

A Florida police officer was arrested for allegedly getting an underage girl drunk and engaging in sexual activity with her. The officer met the girl through an app, bought alcohol, and took her to his apartment. He faces multiple charges including lewd conduct and contributing to delinquency of a minor, and has been terminated.

A cop was arrested in Florida for allegedly getting an underage girl drunk and then “fooling around” with the teen in his apartment. The investigators found the suspect Danny Moore in his home with the girl, according to the New York Post.
According to the Tallahassee Police Department, the 26-year-old former police officer allegedly met the underage girl on an app where they arranged to meet in a shopping center parking lot.
Moore then bought her booze at a nearby liquor store before taking the minor to his apartment and engaging in sexual activity, police said.
Tallahassee Police Department arrested Moore and later discovered he was a police officer within their own department. Moore was immediately terminated following the incident.
Moore provided officers with his name but a false age and occupation before admitting that the teenage girl was inside his apartment, according to police. Officers then located the intoxicated minor and took her to a local hospital for treatment.
Moore was charged with lewd and lascivious battery, lewd and lascivious molestation, lewd and lascivious conduct, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
“The men and women who protect and serve our community are held to the highest standard of the law,” police chief Lawrence Revell said. “Officer misconduct is unacceptable and will not be tolerated,” he added. “Every one of our officers took an oath to protect this community, and every one of them will be held accountable for any actions that do not uphold TPD’s core values, department policies, and Florida Statutes.”

Elementary school principal, teacher accused of hosting underage parties with alcohol

COCOA BEACH, Fla. (Gray News) – An elementary school principal and a teacher were arrested in Florida for hosting a house party for minors and providing them with alcohol, according to police.
The Cocoa Beach Police Department said the party took place on Jan. 19 at the home of Roosevelt Elementary School’s principal Elizabeth Hill-Brodigan.
Officers were called to the home in reference to a house party. When they arrived, officers said they found more than 100 minors at the home wearing matching T-shirts, many of whom were drinking alcohol that was available in coolers at the home.
Police said that one teen was “so heavily intoxicated” that they were experiencing an “alcohol-related medical event” and had to be treated by Brevard County Fire Rescue.
Police said during this medical episode, Hill-Brodigan saw officers in her yard and turned off the house’s outside lights.
Additionally, a juvenile trying to leave the party was arrested nearby during a traffic stop for a DUI.
Police said Karly Anderson approached officers and identified herself as a teacher at Roosevelt Elementary School. A report from WESH identified her as a third-grade teacher.
Officers noted that she was also intoxicated.
In the following days, Cocoa Beach detectives interviewed numerous juveniles and parents.
According to WESH, an arrest report for the teacher said that multiple students told police that “parties like this happen once or twice a month.”
Police didn’t say how old the students involved were, but they appeared to be high school age.
Hill-Brodigan and Anderson are both charged with child neglect and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. As the homeowner, the principal is facing an additional charge for hosting an open house party.
Brevard County Public Schools placed both Hill-Brodigan and Anderson on leave during the investigation, WESH reported.
Anyone with information about this case is asked to call Detective Rosa at 321-868-3248.
