PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A 39-year-old woman was arrested at a luxury hotel in Palm Beach after allegedly offering “friends with benefits” services for $3,000.

The Palm Beach Police Department (PBPD) said that on April 2, officers learned that a woman named Alina Shimova was looking for “friends with benefits” in exchange for $3,000 at the Brazilian Court Hotel on Palm Beach Island.
According to the probable cause affidavit, an undercover officer first contacted Shimova, 39, on April 16 through text message after learning about her advertisement. The officer reportedly expressed interest, and Shimova set the rate to $1,000, accompanied by a rose emoji, a symbol often associated with sex work.
The report states that during their communication, she informed the undercover officer that a minimum of two hours would be required, and when he proposed four hours, she quoted a price of $4,000, again sending a rose emoji. Shimova also requested a deposit and asked for assurances that the officer was not law enforcement, to which he suggested she could be the one scamming him.

PBPD said that the two met in the hotel bar at 7:34 p.m. on April 17, where Shimova reportedly stated, “everything goes and she doesn’t waste time.” When the officer inquired about various sexual acts, she allegedly consented, saying, “Yes, that would be so good.”
According to officials, at this point, the police moved in and arrested Shimova. During a search of her bag, officers reported discovering five condoms, lubricant, and cash.
Shimova has been accused of offering prostitution.

Whether its the beautiful Scottish landscapes, Highland-glam interiors at Ardross Castle, Claudia Winkleman’s wardrobe or the grippingly brilliant drama of the BBC’s The Traitors, the country is hooked. A game of murder, mind games and deception, it has proved the perfect antidote to the winter blues since its launch in 2022, and after 2025’s brilliant The Celebrity Traitors we simply cannot get enough.

Although you can’t stay in Ardross Castle itself, where the series is filmed, these castle hotels across the UK offer a brilliant alternative, with glamorous interiors, beautiful surroundings and plenty of hidden corners and eerie turrets perfect for plotting, without the worry of murder in the night and deception at the breakfast table.
These are the best UK castle hotels for a Traitors-themed break in the UK

4. Thornbury Castle Hotel, Gloucestershire

Another Relais & Chateaux hotel, this ruined Tudor castle is no stranger to murder, plotting and betrayal, and once hosted King Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn on their honeymoon. Built by Edward Stafford, the 3rd Duke of Buckingham, the castle itself was left unfinished because, unsurprisingly, in the ultimate game of Traitors, Stafford was executed by King Henry VIII before he could finish it.

With each glamorous, Tudor-inspired bedroom named after a different Tudor queen, and complete with original Tudor doors, spiral stairs, lavish tapestries and turrets for conspiring, this is the ultimate Traitor-themed retreat. Of course, the hotel has plenty of modern luxuries too, like roll-top baths and a 3AA-Rosette dining room, and guests can try their hand at falconry, or archery walk the 15 acres of walled garden, have a game of croquet, and enjoy a glass of English fizz at the vineyard.

5. The Maiden’s Tower at Leed’s Castle, Kent

Another castle that is no stranger to the betrayal, plotting and drama of the Tudor court, the Maiden’s Tower at the storybook-esque Leed’s Castle in Kent once hosted two queens of Henry VIII. With five opulent bedrooms inside its storied medieval walls, it is said that Henry VIII constructed the Maiden’s Tower to house his wife, Queen Catherine of Aragon, and her maids of honour, among them, incidentally, a young Anne Boleyn of nearby Hever Castle, later to become Henry’s second wife. For a Traitors-themed escape, is this the ultimate historic betrayal?

A 17th-century house elaborately extended and embellished by the Victorians, this magnificent property has turrets, oriel windows and a balustraded round tower that give even the real Traitors castle, Ardross Castle, a run for its money.
Although not a hotel, the castle can be booked for exclusive use with 12 luxurious bedrooms – the perfect opportunity to get all your friends together to play the ultimate game of Traitors? – and also has five pretty holiday cottages in its grounds for those looking for something a little quieter.
