Jan. 15 (UPI) — Police responded to a retirement home in Washington on a report of a goat attempting to break into the facility.
The Auburn Police Department said on social media that officers arrived at Wesley Homes to find “a goat was attempting to gain entry into the building.”
The officers “safely ‘detained’ the suspect until a friend of the owner arrived to pick her up,” the post said.
The goat, named Ruby, posed for a photo with the officers before being taken home.
“Charges were dropped due to extreme adorableness,” police wrote.

LITTLE ELM, Texas — The Little Elm Police Department released body camera footage showing an unexpected “arrest” of a local goat.
Footage from the Nov. 25 incident shows the officer approaching the goat and asking it where it was from. The suspect did not provide any identifying information.
The officer then began to persuade the goat to get into the back of his patrol vehicle.
“Hey, little goat guy, look at this! Look at how cool this car is!” the officer can be heard saying.
The suspect approached the vehicle and initially tried to climb into the front seat before being redirected into the back.
“[The goat] demands grass. Receives grass. Accepts his rights with zero remorse,” the department wrote in a Facebook post.
In-car video shows the goat lying in the backseat and chewing as the officer reads its Miranda rights.
“If this is your goat, please retrieve him. He’s already trying to promote himself to Sergeant,” the department stated.
Auburn police detain goat that tried to enter building

Auburn police reported detaining a goat that attempted to gain entry into a building, but ultimately charges were dropped.
The Auburn Police Department (APD) reported that in the morning of Jan. 11, officers were called to Wesley Homes, 32049 109th Place SE, a retirement community, for a very “baaa-d” situation.
“A goat was attempting to gain entry into the building, so officers responded and safely ‘detained’ the suspect until a friend of the owner arrived to pick her up,” APD stated.
APD stated that the goat’s name is Ruby. Her charges were dropped due to extreme adorableness, APD reported.
