Colaizzo’s daughter told Jupiter Police Department detectives Parchesco punched her father multiple times at the office in April, and no charges were pursued.
Since the April incident, the suspect has targeted her father for unknown reasons, sending him numerous, strange, ranting text messages, Colaizzo’s daughter said in the documents. While at St. Mary’s Hospital receiving treatment for multiple stab wounds, the victim told deputies his friend’s mental health has been declining.

The doctor is reportedly in good condition. Staff at St. Mary’s Hospital said the victim suffered three stab wounds to the head, one to his arm and one to his abdomen. (Indian River County Sheriff’s Office)

After Parchesco fled the pediatric office, a high-speed chase ensued with Indian River County Sheriff’s Office deputies ending it. The man faced multiple charges, including attempted murder.
If the mental health hold document, which was filed Monday, is approved, then the order could remain in effect for up to 12 months or however long the court decides is appropriate.
