Burger King Employee Attacks Customer Over Food Complaint

Married couple arrested in Burger King food fight

A married couple were arrested after they assaulted Burger King employees Saturday, according to the Maricopa Police Department.

Complaints over chicken nuggets at the drive-thru window reportedly turned to a physical attack inside the burger joint on North John Wayne Parkway.

Police arrested 44-year-old Sheree N. Ross and 43-year-old Tavarus D. Ross after the couple allegedly hurled cups of soda and a glass pastry display case at employees, according to a probable cause statement obtained by InMaricopa.

Police said 29-year-old Briana Ross was also involved in the attack but was later released.

Cops responded to Burger King around 4 p.m. to find the family had already fled the scene. Officers found a “breathless” employee lying on the floor, surrounded by spilled food and damaged items from inside the restaurant.

Workers told police Sheree Ross was angry she had to wait in line at the drive-thru, and that she argued about the number of chicken nuggets in her value pack.

Staff saw Sheree Ross throw a cup of liquid at an employee through the drive-thru window. The employee reportedly threw the cup back at her, prompting the family to enter the restaurant.

Cops say Sheree Ross went on an anger-fueled rampage, throwing glass display cases and ordering workers to come out from behind the service counter and fight her.

Tavarus Ross allegedly tried to fight a female employee before hurling a glass cookie display case at another employee who was under age 18. The juvenile sustained an injury to his hand.

Half an hour later, cops found Sheree and Briana Ross inside their car where Sheree Ross admitted to the assault. She told the officers she was heated in the moment.

Tavarus Ross who was arrested at his workplace about an hour later, police said. He was less willing to admit wrongdoing.

Sheree Ross was booked into Pinal County jail on charges of criminal damage and disorderly conduct. She faces 10 months in jail.

Tavarus Ross was booked into Pinal County jail on charges of disorderly conduct, criminal damage and aggravated assault using a dangerous instrument. He faces more than three years in prison.

Briana Ross was released with a criminal citation, police said.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (WJXT) – An 18-year-old fast-food worker in Florida was killed on the job Saturday.

Police say he was trying to stop a fight inside a Burger King when gunfire erupted.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, the suspected gunman, Dawud Burritt, walked into the restaurant and got into an argument with another man, Ray Cummings.

That argument escalated into a physical fight and the Burger King worker, Matthew Jackson, tried to step in and break it up.

But that’s when Burritt pulled out a gun, causing everyone to run, police said

Witnesses reported hearing two shots and then seeing Burritt run out of the restaurant.

Investigators say Jackson was found dead inside the Burger King, with Cummings also located and taken to an area hospital.

Burritt was taken into custody in connection with the shooting.

Jacksonville authorities say he is facing two counts of second-degree murder and one count of armed burglary.

Jackson’s family said they were looking forward to spending Thanksgiving together. His mother said her son was a senior at Riverside High School and planned to join the Marines after graduating.

Detectives are still working to confirm the complete timeline. Investigators said Cummings told them that he and Burritt had a falling out about a year ago.
